Hi! A few months ago I remember reading a forum saying that colleges prefer letters of recommendations from junior and senior year teachers. Due to the pandemic, my school district closed in march and has declared virtual-learning for this upcoming fall semester, so I can't really get to know my senior year teachers enough for them to write me a strong rec. I didn't really know my junior year English teacher that well, however I was wondering whether it would be good to submit a letter of recommendation from a sophomore English teacher. I feel like this teacher knew me very well and truly understood my learning process to write me a very strong rec, but would it be at my disadvantage to ask a teacher from sophomore year instead of one from junior/senior year considering the effects of this pandemic? please let me know.
