Would a low ACT Science Score effect my chances at prestigious schools/scholarships?

Ok, so here's the thing. After I took the SAT, my guidance counselor told me that i absolutely NEEDED to take the ACT as well, so I don't leave a blank on my transcript.

My SAT Scores were:

Math - 800
Reading - 800
Writing - 730 (Essay 12)

Composite - 2330 (I was shocked. In a good way of course)

However, on the ACT, I ran out of time on the Science section (majorly- I had to randomly guess on the last 10). I just viewed my scores

English - 35
Math - 36
Reading - 34
Science - 28

Composite - 33

Ok, so the science definitely isn't as bad as it could be. However, I intend on applying to some science heavy schools, especially Washington U, Stanford, and Princeton, as well as big scholarships (family is middle class, but like so many others, can't afford the price).

Plus, I'm Asian. I know, I know, any sane person would be thrilled but I can't help feeling queasy about the Science score. If my scores were all around 33 that wouldn't be bad, but I just feel the 28 blaringly stands out.

I have a few credentials in Science, including being part of the 8 person JV JETS team at my school that recently placed 1st in our state and 9th in the Nation.

So I guess I'm just asking if I should retake the ACT just for the science section again, or stop worrying because it won't negatively effect my chances at scholarships/admittances (Or should I start worrying?)

do practice tests and retake it, you'll get a 35-36 and feel good about it.
but the title of this post is so misleading... 33 is not low at all.

you dont need both. Obviously, your SAT is good enough. Just don't submit your ACT score when you apply to colleges. The majority of applicants never take the ACT.

Well the title was referring to the science score, which probably is lowish here on CC xD. But thanks.

Oh really? I thought the scores were automatically put on your transcript. At least my SAT Scores all show up on mine

Transcripts vary by school. Ask your GC what goes on there. Even if it's on your transcript colleges should not consider that for admission if you did not send it. They will rely on SATs and the other items on the transcript.

Toss the ACT aside and send SAT's only. If you really feel the need to send it, then retake and try this famous science strategy: DON'T READ THE PASSAGES!!! It brought my score up from a 28 to a 35!
