Is there any use in taking the ACT after you apply

If you look at my other thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=388395
You can see I barely qualify to MSU. I know that after taking calc for two months I will kill the math portion (last time I had reading 30 science 31 math 20 writing 8)so I could go from a 25 to a 27-28 possibly.
Is there any use in taking it again, or notifying the college im applying to that I am taking it again?
