Do UC's only consider best test sitting AND Do they take the best, ACT or SAT

Hello CC,

Well I am not sure if I am simply uninformed or what, but I always thought the UC's superscored your SATs (best overall setting, individual tests combine). My question: If they only accept your best test date, and not your best score from each section, do they not even see the other test date? (I took two Sat1s). I did better on both CR and Math on my second test, but worse on the essay because I did not know what the question was.

My other question, is that my SAT score and ACT are very close together (within 100 points). Will they look only at my ACT for admission purposes since it is higher?

Thanks guyz, good luck with your colleges.
