I go to a very competitive high school( I am in the top 10%) I got ELC for UC's I think thats top 4 percent and I have applied to 13 schools:

Already got into UCSD and Irvine

UCLA
UCSD (medical scholar's eight year program)
UCI-already accepted
UC Berkeley
Stanford
Pomona College
Claremont Mckenna College
Dartmouth
UPenn
Harvard
Northwestern
Cornell
Boston College

Mostly I really want to go to Harvard or Stanford

I'm applying for a biology major in all of these schools

Awards: Deans List Calculus AB, AP Scholar with Distinction, Principal's Honor Roll( fall 2004, spring2005, fall 2005, spring 2006, spring 2007)

Also not applying for any financial aid to these colleges - does this help?

    I don't think you will get into any.


    Come on you know as good as the next person. You have great stats you dont need to sit and ask people obvious questions. Why don't you take a wild guess and wait for the letters.

    But I guess asking that here probably makes you feel better. I think u have good chances.

    I think your ECs are a bit weak for Harvard and Stanford

    Your ECs are weak compared to other applicants to the top schools. Although you have some activites you have done for a long period of time (hospital volunteering - your strong point, TaeKwonDo, French Club), you don't have any good leadership positions.

    I don't know how this will affect your outcomes, because the rest of your application is outstanding.
