hahhaha wow cruise got the scientology episode banned in UK..... what a deusch, he needs to just come out of the closet

its funny that all that stuff about space operas is what scientologists believe, everything that was said about the cult cruise knows is true and is in denial

I saw the episode a few weeks ago, and didn't really find it offensive. I mean, South Park ridicules a lot of people, it's not like they have a personal vendetta against Tom Cruise.

There's nothing wrong with having a vendetta against scientology, though.

People on CC are generally smart (either academically or common sensically). Thus, by definition, they cannot be scientologists.

I also love how he screams, "So SUE ME!!" at the end and then all the credits come up with Bob Smith or Jane Smith. Great stuff another great religious satirical parody from South Park with offensive stuff thrown in in the line of the Christian Rock Band or the Mormon Episode.

They've got the successful episode thing down to a science now. Pick a controversial event (Hurricane Katrina & racism) or an old staple of American life (the silly animal Christmas tales a la the Woodland Critter Christmas). Make it stupid/brilliant, allegorical, throw in some toliet humor and sexual jokes, throw in some Cartman jokes, and throw in some really offensive jokes involving an unrelated controversial topic, and have a couple story lines running at the same time (opt).

I think Tom Cruise is not only mad because of the gay humour but also one has to pay thousands of dollars to get the information that they so freely give out on the show. You have to been at a very high level to know that junk. And you pay to move up levels. And get cures for homosexuality... errr... dyslexia.

One of my FAVORITE episodes of anything, ever. They're use of R. Kelly's "trapped in the closet" was fantastic. "And I PULL OUT MY GUN!"

Scientology is such a huge load of flaming lies. L Ron Hubbard publicly stated he was making up a religion, yet people still beleive in it...

I do wonder, however, if they celebrities know the fundamental parts of the cult... such as xenu and thatans etc. And if they do, would they ever publicly talk about that? (i beleive that it is a 'secret' let out at OT (or something ) level 7 or so....

I read up on their balogna in this past summer...It was hard to convince people that the Xenu story is what they actually beleive....
  • GoldShadowGoldShadow Registered User Posts: 6,160 Senior Member
Yeah, I did some research into them too. I honestly couldn't believe people actually waste money to learn these "secrets." How stupid are these people?

Actually, never mind. Scientologists are an excellent market to appeal to! I'll sell them banana peels or something for an outrageous price (like $500/peel), telling them that it has been enchanted by the great spaghetti gods of the planet Zebes.

Great Spaghetti Gods reminds me of... The Flying Spaghetti Monster....

If you aren't already a pastafarian, you might check it out (it is a joke, of course...but it is anti-ID stuff) it's venganza.org
