Hi all,

i hope you can help me with this decision. I attended Grossmont Community College and for my first year, i did really well. Maintained a 4.0 GPA. Volunteered with several organizations. I was really getting the hang of things. As a former refugee coming to the US was my second chance to live my dream and work in the science field. Here is where thinks gets difficult for me. I was diagnosed with a mental illness in the fall of my second year. With no support from my family or anyone, I couldn't cope with school full time and working 40 hours. I was going insane. So i withdrew from all my 5 classes and checked myself in a inpatient psych ward. After a few months of getting back on my feet again. I decided to enroll in school again.I quit my job and just focused on school. But that is when my suicidal tendencies gotten worst. I was very suicidal every moment of the day, which was unbearable.Eventually it made me withdrew all of my 4 classes and seek medical help. I have not attended college ever since fall 2015. I took that time to focus on mental health.

Now fast forward today. I decided to have a fresh start and move to Columbus, Ohio. I plan to enroll into Columbus State Community College as a transfer student. My question is will my W's effect that? Will it be on my Transfer to a University? Will i have to explain my situation? Will they be understanding? I plan to get A's and continue my volunteer work and get experience in the science field. My current GPA is 3.6. I have completed 80% of my GE classes.

Thanks for listening :)
