Going to summer camp but trying to find a summer job as well

Has anyone's kid managed to go to an extended summer camp, while also holding a summer job? My son (current senior in HS) will be done with school around May 20, but then goes to Tanglewood (a music camp) for the month of July. So he'll have 5 weeks free before camp, and another 3 weeks or so before he goes to college. Any words of wisdom?

My D's have both worked summer jobs and in the middle taken 2 weeks to go to summer camp where they are part of a volunteer work crew so they earn volunteer hours but also get to participate in camp activities. They both worked at a golf course so its a bit of a big deal to have them take off in the height of the busy time but the person that employed them both liked them so he allowed it. Unless you have a family friend that is willing to work with you it might be a bit hard to pull off. My older D who is now in college is actually going to be a counselor at the same camp she attended so that is her summer job. My younger D is most likely going to work at a different golf course this summer since the person who she worked for changed to a new course and is trying to get her on there for the summer. We think the new place is going to allow her to take the two weeks for camp.
