Talking about paying for college in an admissions essay

Hi, so for one of the application essays for the University of Califonia school system asks for you to describe your greatest talent or skill. I plan to talk about drawing and I'm debating whether to include talking about using it as a strategy to pay for college. Is this a good idea? Should I stray away from discussing college payments in all my essays?

Yes, you should probably avoid it - unless perhaps you already have been hired to draw somewhere, you can talk about having a part time job.

I agree with the above and would not use the essay to discuss paying for college.

I would not talk about it in that light. If you make money drawing it might fit in somehow, but don’t talk about how it fits into paying for college.
