    The purpose of the college essay should be: 1) to say something about yourself that can't be found elsewhere on the application and; 2) to give admissions officers a reason to want to have you on their campus. Any topic should be fine as long as it meets those criteria.

    Some essays I find really interesting and hooking to read are those that begin with a (seemingly) insignificant topic like playing boardgames with your family, mowing the lawn, origami, etc. that can transition into meaningful themes that show you/personality/values.

    A suggestion would be to start with a 'random/unique topic' then transition into talking about being biracial.

    Take these as only suggestions/grain of salt, if this topic truly helps deliver the points you want to get across, then it should be fine.
