Would A suspension appeal letter fit into the essay category?

I just got suspended from school(college) and received the letter this morning. I'm going to have to write an appeal letter by the 6th of June detailing any reasons my Gpa might have dropped below 2.0 I was having some problems with my family and also dealing with depression(still am). I didn't get any help for it though, so I'm wondering if they will even believe that without any proff of counseling... :(

I would advise against it in your essay.

Talk to your guidance counselor. They can put it into their letter. Beyond that, they might be able to help with some of the home issues. I hope everything gets better!
