Pre-Med and HC

treeblutreeblu Registered User Posts: 8 New Member
Hello all,

This fall I will apply to Holy Cross. I am very intersted in the sciences and have interst in going the pre-med route. My understanding is that Holy Cross only lets so many students into their program. I am wondering if when I apply in the fall do I apply for the program as well or will I be told if I am able to do the program. Does anyone know how the Pre-Med process works at HC? I also heard that you can apply for it before your sophomore year as well.

When you apply to Holy Cross you do not apply into a specific major. Once you enroll, you sign up for the health professions advising program, which is not a major but an advisory program to help guide students interested in medical careers. From there you select a major. Some colleges, including Holy Cross have a program where some students are able to apply to med school in their sophomore year.
