Blurbs for commemorative yearbook?

So I've been semi-involved with a Hispanic/Latino organization at my school and they have their own yearbook and are asking for a "blurb" for the book. Would this be similar to a high school caption? I didn't finish high school, so I really have no experience with writing a witty little caption. What would be a good thing to write? Should I be serious? Funny? Thanks for any advice. I know it's silly, but this has been getting on my nerves somewhat :P
