Housing Accommodations for General Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

DD's dorm assignment came through and of course she was assigned a residence hall with hall bathrooms, even though she requested suite-style dorm.

She is about to submit her Housing Accommodation Request (signed by licensed doctor/psychologist) but we are wondering if there is any specific language that should be used to ensure her request is not denied

Her GAD makes it almost impossible to work with hall bathrooms. She actually tried while at a summer college program where she stayed an entire week in a dorm with hall bathrooms. Her anxiety was exacerbated by needing to use a hall bathroom which ended up affecting her mental and physical health (increased symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome).

Will this be sufficient for DD to get a dorm with suite style semi-private bathroom?

Not sure, but if it was luck of the draw that she got hall bath vs suite style, then I would think it would be no issue to switch with a doctor's note. If, for example, suite style are not offered to freshmen at all, I think it could still be done, but would be a tougher sell.

@3kids2dogs -- they offer both hall and suite style for freshman...but I suspect issue is that it's a mix of COVID and one of their dorms being under renovation. But, back in March when she submitted housing deposit and application asap and she requested the only all-girls dorm which also happened to be suite style. So I thought for sure she would get it. We didn't apply for housing accommodations at that time because we though she would get the all-girls dorm requested.
