Biomedical engineering without taking AP Bio?

For a while, I have known a wanted to do something math or STEM related. I am considering Biomedical Engineering becuase it looked very interesting based on the research I did. I have not taken a biology class since freshman year however. I didn’t have room in my schedule to take AP Bio this year. I took both AP Physics One and Two my junior year and I am currently taking AP Calc BC so I have a solid background in math and Physics but even so, will it still be hard to go into Biomedical Engineering without having AP Bio?

FWIW, I think it was a smart decision to take AP physics and AP chem. I dont think it will be a problem for admission.

@momofsenior1 I never took AP Chem, I took AP Physics 1 and AP Physics 2. I also took AP Calc AB and AP Calc BC.

So no science class senior year? Did you take any level of chem?

@momofsenior1 Yes I took regular chem sophomore year. I didn’t have room in my schedule senior year because I wanted to take AP Calc AB and BC. I had already taken 4 years because my school is on the semester system and so I was able to take AP Physics 1 and AP Physics 2 in one year.

I think it's fine that you didn't take an AP class exactly going towards your major. The fact that you took any AP science class would show that you care about the subject.

AP chem and physics have more to do with bio engr than bio does. There is actually very little pure bio in bio engineering.
