Question on University of Illinois Vs. Rutgers University and also about my Major.

Hey guys, I just created an account but I've been using this forum for a while now to search about colleges.

I applied to quite a few schools, my dream college UMich rejected me, but I was able to get into my backups. At the moment I have been accepted into University of Illinois, Rutgers University, and University of Delaware. Originally I applied to Illinois for computer science but the department was full and now I have an unassigned major. I applied to Rutgers and Delaware for business.

I know I messed up quite a bit, but I changed from Computer Science to Business in a matter of days after I applied to Illinois, because I just couldn't get my decisions straight. Now, after researching some more, (because Illinois has me assigned to undeclared major) I was looking at econ (I am taking AP Micro right now and it's quite fun). Now I'm just completely confused on what to do, and my parents aren't much of a help because they didn't really have the conditions I have right now during their college years.

So I have a few questions, which I really hope I can get some answers for. After getting deferred from UMich (today) my mind is just a mess.. :(

For business and economics, should I pick Rutgers or Illinois?
Is Business better or Economics?
What do I actually... do... once I get my degree? Especially for an economist? I know Rutgers and Illinois aren't the best schools in business and econ, so I'm sure that my pay won't be as high as someone who got a degree from-say-UC Berkeley or UCLA, is that right?
Statistically speaking, for someone who went to an average school for these majors, what are their annual income?
Lastly, should I try to get into computer engineering instead?

Thank you VERY much guys for your help and your time. I really am just lost... D:

Go to the cheapest one. Can you give us (tuition+ R&B) - (grants+scholarships) = ?
    What's your parents' budget?

Going from Business to Computer Engineering is likely to be competitive and the required 1st year classes are quite different.

Money isn't a big problem for me, I'm just worried about how well will I be educated in the schools and how well I will fare in the real world with a business/econ degree from UIUC. :D

UIUC or Rutgers for business or economics (especially if you can couple that with applied math, math, or a few CS courses) would be okay. Salary doesn't depend on what school you attended among those three, but how well you took advantage of the opportunities offered to you as demonstrated by your GPA, your choice of classes, and your internship/other experiences.
Did you get into Honors at any school? If money is no concern, then I'd pick the school where you got into the Honors college.
