Low GPA, high SAT

I have a 2.5 GPA and a 2000 SAT - 720Math, 650 writing, 630CR
What are my chances of getting into University at Buffalo? Any other SUNY schools?

    theres no harm in trying

Stonybrook deadline is JAn 15-- apply, i may see you there :D
UB- I didnt apply because merit scholarship deadline has passed (you should still apply, deadline was Jan 1, but I do belive theyre a bit lient. ubtil the 15th)

Honestly, the SUNY system isnt uber competitive. If you apply to the ones you want, write a good, solid essay (solid in terms of content, more so than style and whatnot), decent recs, and hope for the best ;D

I would also recommend the CUNY system, fordham
theres no harm in applying (aside from the app fee of course, lol)

How is that possible? Under 3.0 GPA and a pretty good SAT score

The ad com on a college tour told the group that low gpa but high sat often indicated a bright student who was lazy, lacked follow through or didn't put the effort in on a daily basis.
