Hi guys,
I really need help on deciding which school is better for me Cornell College of Art and Sciences or Georgetown Nursing and Health Studies. For Cornell I love it's campus however I don't like the cold all that much. As for Georgetown it campus is cool but I'm not that into the gothic atmosphere but I do love the weather there (is a little warmer). Georgetown offers me their Early Assurance program which I would have to apply my second year but it's very very very selective. However I would get the oppurtunity to enroll into their Medical School right after without taking the mcat (which I believe I will struggle with and stress over a lot) As for Cornell, it's of course an ivy but during my interview I fell in love with their exotic oppurtunites and their variety of classes. However they dont have programs geared toward medical school that I know of. And I fear I will stress over keeping my grade top notch and having to complete the mcat in addition to that. But the campus life looks amazing. I really need help and was wondering if you guys knew any programs or what else these two schools have to offer me. Thank you

Thank you! I am considering Georgetown a bit more at the moment because they have more to offer me. As premed student do you know how competitive the Early Assurance program is? I know receiving like lower than 3.6 will kick you out of the race. But how many student actually accepted? Considering the program is competitive do you consider the classes to be really hard as well or is it manageable? In Addition, do you know if georgetown offers an assortment of classes that Cornell does? Like pottery classes, cooking classes, sports classes, etc? Because although I'm geared toward med I still love to explore try out different things. @badyork

I can speak to Georgetown Nursing and Health Studies as a current student. G-Town has a very strong pre-med program through NHS and the faculty is absolutely top-notch. You will work hard for good grades, but they are definitely achievable. G-Town NHS is a pretty tight-knit group of students and would say it is more collaborative than competitive. The weather is much better than Cornell, too, and the opportunities to network are endless. Good luck with your choice!
