Loyola University Chicago vs Ohio state for Pre med

Vohn017Vohn017 Registered User Posts: 2 New Member
I haven't read much about Loyola Chicago being strong for pre med and Ohio state University has a good reputation and ranking, but Loyola has offered a 30k scholarship. I am an international transfer student and I want to do premed but I am struggling in choosing which college to attend for a pre med

Any advice from any pre-med students from either of the above mentioned colleges would be really great
Thank you

You can do pre-med from anywhere: medical schools don't really care where you went to college so much as they care what you did there. I'd ask about premedical advising or see if you can find the web page at Loyola about it, because different schools do it a little differently - at some schools you have to get a letter from the premed advising office, and sometimes they don't give it to you unless you have a GPA over a certain amount or have done specific things (although to be fair, that's because they want their university to have a reputation of turning out successful med school applicants).
