Hello, I am a high-school junior at a high ranking Catholic school in Montgomery County Maryland. William and Mary is my dream school and I just wanted to see what my chances are and what I can do to improve my chances!

Freshmen Yr. Schedule/Grades
Honors Algebra 1-C
Honors Biology-B
Freshmen Pe-A
Honors Spanish 1-A
Honors Religion-A
Intro to Theatre-A
Honors Amer. Lit Comp.-A
Honors US Gvt-A

Sophomore Yr.
Honors Spanish 2-B
Honors Religion-A

Possible Senior Yr.

As you can see my grades aren't terrific (3.7) but I have taken the hardest possible classes every year. For my senior year also I know W&M likes to see physics so would not taking that affect my chances of getting in?

Extracurricular Activities:
3 years of Student Government
NHS Tutor
2 time winner of grade Leadership Award
XBSS Leader (leadership achievement at my school)
Retreat Leaders (leadership)
Freshmen and JV football
Theatre Club (involved in 5 performances)
Student Ambassador
Film Club

It'll be tough since you're OOS and from my understanding, the William & Mary Promise is engineered to not only save Virginians money, but increase enrollment of VA students. However, I'm sure W&M Admissions will be able to provide a better understanding of the promise. While your grades aren't phenomenal, they aren't bad, and you're involved in EC's and you have leadership so those will certainly help out a lot! Just try your best. Work hard on your essays (they're very important), do the supplement essay and have fun with it! Finally, if you can, I recommend interviewing at The College because the interview is really a ton of fun and it is used in the admissions process.

Best of luck and the Tribe Family would love to have you!
