^^^^I should add that I am slightly worried about my mid term grades.......I did really well 1st quarter (all A's), but AP Lit is tough this quarter and I could get a B or even a C (not likely but possible). The average for the first semester should be no worse than a B and I expect A's in everything else. This is the first time this has EVER happened to me.

Do you think this will have a big impact on my chances?

    Thanks again for any input.

robertr, I'm kind of new to CC and don't have experience "chancing" people, but your numbers, classes (and even governor's school and music involvement!) are very similar to my daughter's and I consider that she has a pretty good chance of getting in. She also currently has a 4.0 unweighted GPA but may end up with a B in Calc BC for the semester. I can't imagine that one B would doom an application. It also can't hurt that you're a guy (I think), since apparently there are fewer male than female applicants and W&M tries to keep that ratio as balanced as possible.

robertr, your academic accomplishments sound very impressive and you are someone who would be competitive for W&M. The selective nature of W&M means that not all competitive applicants are admitted. Keep in mind that one (or even multiple Bs) in no way dooms an applicant (especially if overall your grades have been stellar which they likely are given your GPA). Also keep in mind that W&M defines legacy as parent only so your grandmother's connection, while very much appreciated, does not make you a legacy.
