@NYC2018nyc They send you an email saying that you've been denied. Seeing as its a 2-round process, they'll let people know their decisions after each.

@rosyholywater Yes!! Super nervous. Just doing my best to keep updated on politics and news though, since it's all out of my hands at this point. I actually created this thread, but have been super inactive just because I don't want to freak myself out too much. Best of luck to everyone, of course. From what I've read, they've said that they'll be releasing 1st-round decisions all at once this year, instead of day-by-day like past years. Because the office is closed on Saturdays, it'll probably be this coming Friday that we hear from them.

    Hi everyone,
As I'm anxiously waiting the interview notification this week, I was just wondering if some of the Sciences Po campuses are more competitive in admissions that others? Are there overwhelmingly more applicants for some campuses over others? If anyone knows, let me know

@lorourkesf From what I've understood, the campuses seem to be self-selective, in that the proportion of admitted students to applicants remains the same, despite differences in campus sizes. So, even though Reims is the largest campus, it doesn't necessarily have a higher acceptance rate than say, Menton, because fewer people will be applying to Menton than Reims.

There are some campuses that do get more applicants than others - the Euro-American programs often receives more applicants than the other programs within Sciences Po. However, the Reims campus is also the largest in terms of number of students, whereas Le Havre and Menton have a much smaller capacity.

I wouldn't say that any program is necessarily more competitive than others, at least in terms of the ratio of applicants/admitted students. It's also worth noting that those who apply to the program typically have strong demonstrated interest in the region of focus for whichever campus they choose, so I would say that all of the campuses are similarly competitive. I wouldn't get too hung up on which campus gets more applicants or numbers like that, as they can be misleading.

    Hi guys,

do Germans have a chance to be admitted?

I feel like the program is being presented as something very exclusive for just American and French folks.

Planning to apply for the 2021 intake

    According to the website:

    Interviews

Applicants will receive an update on their application status by February 15. Those invited for an interview will be prompted to schedule a time to meet with the admissions committee either in person in New York or Paris, or by teleconference.

This program absolutely is not exclusive to just American and French folks. Of course the program tends to get a fair number of American and French applicants - since these universities are well known in those countries - but it is definitely very diverse. Many of my Dual BA peers represent many different nationalities.

All of Sciences Po campuses are pretty diverse. Typically, each regional program will have something like 1/3 French, 1/3 students from the region of focus (so North Americans for the Euro-American Program), and 1/3 all other international students. The Columbia Dual BA cohort is similarly very diverse and international.

    @GSTourGuides
Might you know if the Sciences Po admissions staff also conducts admissions for the two other North American Dual Degree programs?

Each dual-degree program (Columbia, University of British Columbia, and UC Berkeley) has their own admissions team, but it's possible that there is some overlap at least with the interviewers. For instance, for some campuses the same Sciences Po representative COULD interview students from all Sciences Po programs (dual degrees and the standard three-year program). But no, generally, the staff conduct admissions separately for each program.

Two questions: First, does anyone know around what time of day the interview notifications are released? Also, are they posted on the online portal or sent out via email?

Congratulations to everyone who got an interview and also to those who did not, you guys put in so much work and I'm sure you all deserve these spots as much as anyone else, they just sadly have such a small number of spots. I was able to secure an interview for Reims! I'd love to talk with everyone and prepare together.
