Can I get into Columbia

Imma keep this brief but I loved columbia and was curious what people thought my chances are.
I go to an inner city public school
I play varsity soccer (4 years) varsity basketball (2 years) and run varsity track (3 years)
I have won MVP and scholar-athlete in Soccer.
I am captain of ethics bowl, in which I won the commentary award.
I had a high position at model congress (not gonna give details bc that jaunt is all up on the internet)
I write for the school paper
I have participated in many protests, and have been on the cover of a magazine and was interviewed for several publications.
I started and run a badminton team.
I work at a pizza shop part-time.
I do more but i feel it's not worth listing.
So i got that 4.46 weighted 3.96 unweighted
5s and 4s on AP tests
I have not taken an SAT yet which is bad bc I'm a junior, but i got a 1200 on the PSAT sophomore year not trying, and I am gonna do prep and what not. A 1450 is my goal, and is plausible.

Yes, you can get into Columbia, but that does not mean that you will. Columbia University only accepts about 6% of all applicants. Even students with perfect GPAs & perfect standardized test scores get rejected by Columbia. That is not a reflection on the applicant, but the realities of an ultra competitive admissions process.

Try to identify what you like about Columbia, then find other colleges & universities with similar qualities. Plan to apply to at least 6 colleges & universities and up to 12 target schools is considered reasonable.

Do you intend to continue playing soccer in college ? If so, that could be a significant boost of your chances depending upon your skill level.

If you plan to participate in 2 or 3 sports at the collegiate level, then you should investigate some LACs (liberal arts colleges) such as Williams College and the schools in the same athletic conference as Williams College.

Northwestern University is located in a beautiful suburb right outside of Chicago. Soccer is an important sport at NU. The University of Chicago is in the city & has a core requirement of courses like Columbia.

Once you get an actual SAT or ACT score, the college search can take on more realistic parameters. I think that you will be surprised at the hundreds of opportunities that are available to an intelligent well rounded student with communication skills.
