From the Columbia website, for the class of 2013:

    "Admitted Student Statistics

Of schools that provided us with a class rank, approximately 93% of accepted students were in the top 10% of their graduating class; 98% were in the top 20% of their class.

The middle 50% of admitted students scored between a 1410 and a 1540 on the Math and Critical Reading sections of the SAT.

The middle 50% of admitted students scored between a 2110 and a 2300 on the Math, Critical Reading and Writing sections of the SAT.

The middle 50% of admitted students scored between a 31 and a 34 on the ACT."

How many people of the accepted class of 2013 are considered to be of the "middle 50%"?

If you can't do simple math like this, I don't see how you can make the bottom 50% threshold of 2110.

SATs are a joke. Once you're here, you realize how trivial and futile the whole thing was.

ali001071, I assume your question was in jest, but if not, to focus on the ACT: 50% of the admitted class scored between 31 and 34 (although the email to parents describing the class put the middle 50% at between 31 and 35); 25% scored 31 or less; and 25% scored 34 (or 35) or more.

these scores are correct but you also have to take into account that they are for Columbia C. and Fu, of which, Fu's scores are a little more competitive (higher) than Columbia C.

^no, those are scores for Columbia College and SEAS only. SEAS sat scores would be a little higher (say 10-30 points)
