Where to mention ISEF

Hi guys! I'm applying to colleges this year, and want to mention that I was an ISEF Finalist. But I'm just SO confused on where to put it on my application. I am already connecting that project with my childhood experiences in my personal essay, but I also heard I could list it as an activity and an honor. Should I mention ISEF 3 times or just stick to one or two sections?

I would say ISEF Finalist is considered an honor/award, so definitely put it in those sections.

I'm assuming that since you're an ISEF Finalist, you've been doing research as an extracurricular. If so, definitely put that on your app as an EC and make sure to emphasize how much time you've spent on it and your success.

As for the essay topic, it's very hard to assess accurately the quality of it and how effective it will be without actually reading it. The most important part of the essay is making it personal to you, and to let the admissions officers want to admit you. To me, the essay topic sounds promising, so I would say give it a shot and see where it can go from there.
