  Yes, but most bans are permanent. At present, there are only 2 members whose accounts are temporarily suspended. When/if the suspension is lifted, the banned stamp comes off.

  Jailbars posters can still post, but I don’t think they can start a thread when in jail. Am pretty sure they can pm
  too. Banned posters can read but not post. Is this correct, @skieurope ?

  Correct. Banned users are unable to log in, so they can only read existing posts.

  FWIW, depending on the TOS violation, the mods here do give warnings. There is some drama now in the "helicopter parents" thread that I am staying out of. This is a heavily trafficked site with active moderation. (Particularly @skieurope, who seems near omnipresent.)

  On registering for this site, all users agree to abide by the rules of this forum, which are listed on the registration page, as well as at the bottom of every page on this site.
