I used control while simultaneously pressing the negative sign (-) to reduce the font size and eliminate a lot of the white space. But jeez oh pete, I don't like change and this is a huge change.

@orangepurple @mathmom An ad blocker will get rid of the video. Its a lot of white space with the ad blocker turned on. You can turn off your ad blocker with sites that require it, but keep it on, blocking the video, for College Confidential, I believe.

Thanks. I've never really minded paying for my free sites by scrolling past ads - or even clicking on one occasionally, but I don't think the Princeton Review could possibly have come up with a more annoying one! Do you have an ad blocker you like and trust?

I guess I need a separate ad blocker (can anyone recommend a safe one?). I have the Chrome ad blocker on.

I was mistaken; the following is not true (but AdBlock does stop it):

That Princeton Review window is not an ad, but part of the site. :-( AdBlock is blocking the ads for me here.

I don’t hate this as much as everyone else seems to, but maybe I need to work with it a little more.

I will note that on my iPad, things look very different in portrait versus landscape mode. And in portrait mode I’m not able to see who is liking, agreeing, or finds comments helpful.

If it's part of the site (absurd idea), why can't I make it stop? It plays and plays and plays again. Pausing it only works momentarily and then it starts again. It's horrible.
If the video isn't blocked by an ad blocker, then I won't need an ad blocker. I just need the video to be gone.
I tried command and - to shrink everything. Makes the font tough to read and even more white space, but at least I shrunk the size of the video. Still, computer getting hot again.

I'm not getting the video, thankfully. I use Adblocker on Chrome. If your video is eating my data allowance, I'll be mighty unhappy!

It’s MUCH harder to read CC on cell phones which is the main way I use CC. It just is too spread out for easy viewing and you feel you’re scrolling forever just on page 1 of the thread.

Sadly on parent cafe, the caring for our parents and disabled loved ones threads got unpinned. They had been pinned for a long time and were good at the top as many of us read those. Can they please be pinned again? Thanks.
Whatever happened to the back button that let you stay in the same section? Can’t find it any more for the iPhone. :-(

Knock on wood, but I dont have videos running on a thread.

We really shouldn't have to scroll to see more than 5 threads on my bookmark listing.

The font is tough on my cell but all the space reminds me of Readers Digest Large Print for the elderly. Tablet.

Sorry, if anyone else noted it, but the "Save Draft" button is gone.

I use AdBlock Plus on Filefox.

If you use chrome, at some point you may be out of luck because in the not too distant future chrome is not going to allow ad blocking extensions.

ETA: if/when CC blocks access to browsers that are blocking ads, that will be the kiss of death for me. Probably the next update. :expressionless:

I believe it's auto-saved now, which was the default on the mobile version.

@MaineLonghorn You asked what forums we could not find.

As I wrote twice, I do not see a master list of ALL Forums.....
So, for example, I have no idea how to find the Musical Theater Forum, a very active forum. In fact, many members on that forum ONLY participate on that one forum (that is not the case with me, however) and I imagine they will no longer be on CC because they won't be able to find that forum.

Do we have a longer time to edit a post now? That would be an improvement.

Don't like this at all. Too much white space; hate the ad constantly playing in the corner; can't find the threads I've followed as easily as before. This is supposed to be an improvement?

@soozievt, I saw your request for a master list and have passed it along to @CCadmin_Sorin. I was just offering to help find fora for people in the meantime.

Musical Theater is under Home / College Admissions and Search / College Majors. It took me a little while to find it (I was looking for engineering earlier).
