@CCadmin_Sorin is there a way to delete a post so you are no longer part of that thread?

No. Posts are editable for 15 minutes. After that, you cannot edit, and mods will not delete posts on request per ToS.

"as per our TOS, we do not delete posts on College Confidential. "
    CCadmin_Sorin,
HUH?? there are MANY posts that are deleted by Mods!!
So I really dont understand your statement.
IF your statement applies to Mods, then they need to be told not to delete posts.

    TOS:
"We cannot edit or delete posts upon request"
    and
"... moderators and administrators may edit, move, and delete posts to make them more accessible or to bring them into compliance with our Terms of Services ..."

Per ToS, we do not delete posts on request. We do delete posts which are responses to deleted posts or which violate the forum rules or ToS as linked on the bottom of every page. The official language is: "We cannot edit or delete posts upon request"

Edited to add: I did not notice earlier that @vonlost posted the same thing, basically. But I don't want to delete this post, in the spirit of the thread. :)
