Well, sex sells so I thought I'd use it in my title. Anyways, what I really want to discuss is the food at Cornell. I have heard that Cornell's food is really good as compared to most other colleges, specifically Columbia. I would like to know if there is good tasting healthy food. I am a transfer applicant and the food at my current college is so bad for you. It seriously has taken 10 years from my life lol. Anyways, hope no one thinks this is a post about sex. haha

hahahahah. i was actually hoping some one would post up something about sex because every schools has a list of where you have to have it before you graduate...ah well. but so food, well i dont know your conotation of healthy...if that means vegetarian then yes. every food place that has meat options will also have vegetarian ones and i believe there are also specific vegetarian places that dont cook meat at all but i dont remember which ones right now...sorry.

but if healthy doesnt mean vegetarian, then one word...SUSHI. i dont how much of a fan but since you posted a thread titled sex, i get to rant about sushi. but healthy wise, you have you generic salads, soups and what not but i think healthy food is up to the eater. by the sound of it, you seem to be conscientious of what you take in, so where ever you, just opt for the better choise.. (excuse the cliche taboo ;) )

    ^^ I LOVE SUSHI!!!!!!!!!!

vinegar rice, big chunk of salmon, sea cucumber, and salmon roe, all wrapped in seaweed with a touch of wasabi and dipped in soy sauce. :D

the food here is pretty good, and if you eat the right stuff, you can end up doing pretty well in terms of healthy, good-for-your heart food. in terms of dining halls, yes, there's crappy pizza and grill stuff, but there's also salads (some of the salad bars are better than others), wheat bread to make sandwiches, usually a rice of some sort, steamed veggies, and the protein aspect usually is healthy (and not, say, fried chicken).
in terms of a la carte food, there is a lot of great places to go that have customizable salads and sandwiches, and one place that has AMAZING soups/hummus. it's all in where you go and what you choose to eat, but if you try it's not too hard to find food that won't "take 10 years off of your life". :)
