I'm a junior right now and trying to see if I should even bother applying to Cornell. I have a low GPA and 3 C's on my transcript however ILR is my dream school and I just keep reading about it and loving it more. I go to a really competitive public high school (top 20 in nation) in Houston

SAT I (should I retake?):
1450/1600
-Reading Writing: 730

    You have some hooks but your GPA is going to make Cornell a high reach school. As it is, the acceptance rate was at an all time low at 12%. Be sure to include a lot of good match and safety schools in your search. I'm sorry about the passing of your dad :(.
