Join the best Cornell 2023 Parents' FB group, "Big Red Class of 2023 Parents" ! We're moderated by Cornell 2023 parents, not by some outfit that runs 100 different college parent FB groups.

Can someone been there done that shed some light on what the housing assignment number mean?? My son is in high rise 5, so from what I understand, the four digit number starts with a 5 for HR5 and then the floor and then the suite, but what’s the last number with a dash? My son has a -1 after his room number. I couldn’t figure out what it means. TIA!

We (Big Red Class of 2023 Parents) are pretty sure that the -1 just means he is the first person that was assigned to the room. So my daughter’s says -1 because she had a single. Those in a double would be either -1 or -2, etc.
