I've heard that in the past, Human Ecology makes phone calls to students who are accepted, prior to March 28th. Has anyone received the phone call?

I've heard from past posts you can get in and get denied even with/without the phone call. Who knows? D:

Edit: So after some deep searching, I believe it could be two possibilities: Just a phone call for questions like what they do at Dartmouth, OR a likely phone call from a current student in the SAME potential major as you.

Did anyone applying to DEA get a phone call? Was it a no caller ID call? Just wondering about the ID because I almost never get them but have gotten multiple in the last week. Random I know. I’m just freaking out. My parents say there’s no way they would call me to ask if I had questions because I applied ED, an a legacy, spent the entire summer there taking classes in my major, and met the head of admissions and made it pretty clear that there is no program that I want to attend besides DEA. He literally said it was like DEA was made for me and my goals. But ugh I’m losing my mind lol. Good luck all!

@sportychance if you mean which ‘primary research theme’ i wrote about in the DEA challenge, i chose design strategy and innovation! but if you’re talking about concentrations, i am doing interior deisgn (if i get in heheh). so nice to find someone else who applied to DEA :) what was your specialization?

Did anyone get a letter from human ecology admissions this week saying thank you for applying and as the process unfolds approach your wait with calm and continue to attend to your work with excellence and integrity?
Definitely can’t figure out why they would send this? Any thoughts?

I missed the call, and when I called back, it was "outside of office hours". Could this have any impact on my admissions decision?

I didn't get a call or a letter from the college of HumanEco, this is making me very sad (◕︵◕).

I'm really really nervous... I wish the call really means something and that it's okay for me to have a bit of hope for tomorrow. Anyhow, I wish everything will go well for all of us!

@txt773 I don't believe it means anything, especially since you received both at the beginning of the month, when decisions haven't been made yet. I guess we'll know tomorrow XD.

For future reference, if you receive a call from a student ambassador in the school of human ecology, you are in. My son received a called in early March, and he was accepted today. Although there are some confusion on some of the past threads including this one, I did not see one person state that they were denied although they received a call from a STUDENT ambassador. Hopefully this helps future students.

Hello. I received a human ecology call on March 6th and was admitted today. Idk if the call had anything to do with my acceptance, but I took it as a good sign and it was true! I will most likely be majoring in HBHS because I am planning to go to med school.
