Does that A- I got in philosophy completely ruin my chances of getting in?

@DrewGonz19 TBH I don't think it won't hurt you if your letter of recommendation and writing supplement are strong. I am also a first-year student like you, and my GPA is lower than yours but my professors are really trying to write a great letter of recommendation and also write a strong writing supplement. Just work on your essays and give your professors enough information about you.

you are definitely not late- we have months still to apply, people just have different schedules and might want to get them done early. Also Minsung, what program are you applying to? Some programs require an interview and others don't even offer it.

Are any of you guys submitting SAT scores? I called admissions last week and the lady on the phone said that it is optional unless is required by your major. Is anyone applying to a school that doesn't require it, still submitting it?
