Financial Aid ED

If I want financial aid, did I have to submit all my financial aid material by November 8th? The problem was that my parents are now living in another country, so it's very hard to communicate for them to send me the proper material.
Or is the deadline for financial aid by February as the Dartmouth website says for FASFA?

Since the website shows different dates for the CSS profile (11/8 for ED; 2/1 for others), but not the FASFA, I think you're safe relying on the 2/1 date. News & Announcements Email the college if you need an official answer.

Whoa, there! The way it usually works for ED applicants, is that if you want financial aid and you want an estimated award to come with your ED acceptance if accepted so that you can make the decision whether you can afford to go there, you need to send in an estimated PROFILE by about the time that the ED app is due. Otherwise, you have a major problem. You had better talk to Dartmouth an dlet them kow that you did not submit your fin aid material with your ED application. If you apply ED, then you likely do not have to worry about this. How can you know if you can afford Dartmouth without some idea of what they will give you if you need financial aid? A number of your other applications to other schools could be automatically flushed if you are accepted ED to a school, so you can find yourself severely limited if you don't get your fin aid materials in on time. You may have to change your app to RD.

Well, besides maybe the fact that I won't know my financial aid package by the time I receive the ED decision, is there anything inherently wrong or not allowed with applying for fin. aid by February?

Other applications are not "flushed" if you are accepted ED, but you are expected/required to withdraw them once you accept an offer. I agree you should contact the financial aid office. It may be that they plan on calculating the award based on the CSS profile, subject to verification of the numbers with the FAFSA & supporting documentation, but they are the only ones who can tell you for certain.
