Hi. My name is Anna, a rising senior, and I attend an inner city magnet arts school. I am planning on applying to Dartmouth ED. I absolutely love the campus and fell in love with the school. Here are some facts about my academic performance:
My GPA: 4.0 out of 4.0 (weighted falls around 4.8)
Average Grade: A
Class Rank: School stopped reporting rank, but as of sophomore year 7/165
APs: took Lit and Gov my junior year. (taking APUSH, Stats, Lang, and Psych senior year)
SAT: 1170/1600, with writing essay (7) I have been doing sat prep, planning on retaking to score around anywhere 1300+
SAT subject tests: R&W 620. M 570. scores not as high as I would like - looking to retest and score around 700+/650+ and possibly take French and score a 700+
Extracurriculars: SLAM poetry team, creative writing workshop, photography, event committee, community service outreach, yale sprout/splash programs (where you take courses led by students), yale all city honors band, yale morse summer music academy, published on school website for writing pieces
Work experience: teaching assistant for shubert theater arts camp
Internships: -shubert theater usher
-intern at arts council of surrounding areas
awards: my school doesn't give awards but I am a proud member of NHS, the treasurer, and a scholar making the honor roll with distinction.
Intended Major: English
Essay: a childhood reflection of loving to stay up late and read, exemplifying my passion for literature and studies
Recommendations: will come from my ap lit and ap gov teachers who I had personal connections with. Dartmouth also asks for a peer recommendation which will come from my close friend who I worked with last summer for an arts camp teaching children lesions in creative writing
Race: white
Gender: f
Side notes:
-I am a well rounded but focus directly on the things I am passionate about. I have done volunteer work and community service.
-I am a quadruplet
-Although I am not the best on standardized tests, I work hard and care about my studies. In everything I do, I give my all and am so passionate towards education.
-super involved with organizing events for the community and my school.

Your grades and class rank look fine. However your SAT scores are too low for Dartmouth. As an unhooked applicant you need scores at the 75th percentile for a decent shot.
