I am an American-Ukrainian Jew, but I go to school in England (hence the A-Levels). I would be interested in hearing your feedback.

Objective: Russian Studies Major

ACT (breakdown): 35 English, 33 Reading, 30 Maths, 27 Science
SAT II: Waiting on Results
GCSE: 9 A*s, 1 A
Predicted A-Level Grades: A*A*A*A
Rank: N/A
Subjects: Russian, Art, History, Politics
Major Honours: Iris Murdoch Competition Gold, Scholarship for the Fine Arts, Commonwealth Essay Writing Comp Gold, ESB Distinction

Extra Curricular (As we can only put 10, these are the ones I'm picking from):

- Secretary General MUN

- Young Female Enterprise Sales Director
--> Ran our own business.
--> Social Media Award; Centre Lead Award; Regional Finals

- Jazz Band Manager and Bassist

- President and Founder of Diversity Club
--> Bring in speakers, lead discussions, etc

- PWC/Naftogaz/Investohills Crossover Intern in Ukraine
--> High letter of recommendations

- Yale Young Global Scholars
--> Capstone Project
--> One of the most competitive summer schools in the USA

- Global Young Leaders Conference
--> Elected Sec Gen for Global Summit held at UN Centre NYC

- NGO Phoenix Wings Volunteering >50hrs
--> Volunteered with Ukrainian military + refugees

- EPQ (1.5 Year Long Thesis)
--> Thesis based on Ukraine's development since the collapse of USSR

- Leiths (2 Years - Highly Prestigious Course)
--> Merit Certificate in Food and Wine.

- Head Peer Mentor

+ I've got fantastic letters of recommendations from my teachers, because the tiny size of my school + the fact that we're a boarding school means that they know my life inside out.
+ I'm also submitting my recommendations from my boss at the internship and from Phoenix Wings.
+ My Common App essay is focused on my background as a Ukrainian - I'd say it's pretty original because my experience as an international student stuck still facing a war and constantly being ripped apart isn't exactly a common one.

    Since your ACT composite score is a 31, and you're an international student, it is a huge reach. For someone in the US a 31 ACT is pretty low, but since you're going for very few international spots, your chances are really low. You've definitely got nice ECs, not many other applicants would have volunteered with their army! However, with you being international and the low ACT it's probably out of reach.
