Transfer Students and Money

How much money did you get in merit scholarships, grants, financial aid, etc. as a transfer student?

I’m just wondering how much money you received as a college transfer? I’m a high school senior and my guidance counselor keeps saying that I should attend my state school for a year or two then transfer to a top tier school after so I could save money. However, I always thought that transfer students received less money than freshman students.

If you could can you answer these questions for me?:
1. How much money did you receive?

2. What school did you attend previously and where did you transfer to?

3. Did transferring to your school save you more money or did you lose money?

4. Can you give me any advice about transferring?

Thank you!!
