freshman course selection

I realize this is a slow time for students, but if anyone could shed some light on the humanities track vs the other w courses recently mentioned in the freshman mailer it would be greatly appreciated. Also, what are some other courses that students really like? Are there science courses with labs that a non science major should take vs the ones for pre-med, etc. Thanks for any help you can provide.
