Is taking AP Chem worth it?

So I'm thinking of entering Pre-Med right after high school. Seeing as much chemistry is used in pre med/Medical School, is AP Chem a must?

The teacher is the worst, so I am iffy on not taking it. Will colleges accept a student who has taken AP Chem over me (for example)?

Also, if you can, describe your experiences in AP Chem. Was it too fast paced/rigorous? What did you earn on the AP exam?

Just want to hear your thoughts :)
