ACT vs SAT

Hello everyone! I am trying to figure out which scores to submit to UVA. I have a 2150 (710R 720M 720W 10E) and a 33 (32M 34E 31R 33S). I think my ACT is stronger than my SAT, but I didn't take the writing portion at that sitting. I could submit 2 ACT scores, one which I took the writing portion, but that score is very low 29 (29E 30M 31R 25S 6E). What do you guys think?

I would just submit them all. My understanding is that they will look at your best scores.

Submit everything. Our system picks the best sections for us to consider.

Dean J, does your system pick up the best sections on the ACT as well or just the SAT?

The ACT is not recalculated for a super score in the way that the SAT is, however if more then one sitting is sent the computer will drop down the highest score for each section. Dean J does a wonderful job explaining this on her blog, Notes from Peabody. I would normally grab the link, but posting fm my iPhone it's going to convert to her mobile blog and the formatting will be off. You can easily search it yourself though.

Thanks. I read the blog. Given that they take (drop down) the highest score from each section, that is super scoring, right? What am I missing?

They do not recalculate a new composite score based on the highest scores received in various sections from multiple dates. UVa is interested in each section individually. No one is evaluated on a composite, or a SAT total for that matter.
