Invitation to interview for University of Pittsburgh IBGP program. 1 week after submission which seems fast. I wonder how many people they invite. I know they do rolling admission.

    [Undergrad. University] UCI
    [Undergrad. Major(s)] BME
    [Undergrad GPA] 3.69
[Years of Research Experience] 3.5 years in an angiogenesis/tissue engineering lab. pretty famous PI in the field. 1 publication in a relatively high impact journal; did a lot of work for that paper, but got pushed to middle author because everyone wants a piece of the cake. but whatever. currently leading 2 projects, mainly in BioMEMS.
[GRE Scores] Mediocre. took it 2 years ago, and didn't bother to retake anymore. never a good standardized test taker. basically give up on GRE score and pray that good letters will offset this.
    [Prospective Graduate Program] CMB, BME
    [Prospective Graduate Schools]
    UCI (CMB)
Harvard (Engineering/Cell and Tissue Engineering track)
    UMich (BME)
    Wisc (BME)
    Purdue (BME)

got accepted to UMich and UCI for BME 2 years ago, but neither offer funding for PhD, and instead offered option to enter master program first. decided to work as lab technician. first 6 months was just dirty work, but since then only doing research projects.
