@BrKmNk ? I put BME & Public Health. Doesn't really matter I'm so done with Brown at this point. They deferred 2,318 people. I'm not naive I know I basically have no chance now. Hope I get into Tufts EDII.

For regular applicants, have you received IDOC requests?

@binky99 they don't send IDOC requests to everyone. I think they send those on a case-by-case basis. (check website).

@BrKmNk Agree that they have already started the review process as evidenced by the on-going interviews. I shall clarify my question about "evaluate" as: when will they start to put the scores on table (assuming they value a 4.0uw GPA as 10 points, a 35 ACT 6 but 34 ACT as 5 points, etc), and compare John with Lisa with Michael, etc. I am sure they will have a cut-off date for all required material to arrive, and for now they most likely are only busy sorting out all the materials than actually scoring the material. I wonder when the very first show-down starts. I want to add a first-author journal publication to the portfolio but prefer to wait until I get the in-press date and volume number from the Journal.

@sciencenerd123 you needa be patient dude, the quantity of applicants are so high that it is really hard for the admissions office to give acceptances regarding their minuscule acceptance rate... as an applicant from last year, I too am having doubts and am worried that I will get rejected again... i was waitlisted till June last year.. imagine my pain.. and try to relax for now

@BrKmNk I'd rather go to a school that wants me right from the start--one that doesn't need to see 27,000+ more applications to make a decision. The thing is, Brown broke my heart. I don't want to waste any more time obsessing over a school that doesn't even want me.

@BrKmNk Can you elaborate? I spent actual weeks crying over my Brown decision. Is it so wrong to want to move on? Of course I still love Brown and I would love to go to Brown (I applied ED after all) but after a certain point you have to try and move on. I'm not so fixated on Brown that if I don't get in I will take a gap year and reapply next year. I know I would love to go to Brown and I know that Brown is a great fit for me and I would thrive there, but your college experience is what you make of it. I can do amazing things at any other school I go to. At some point you have to think "oh well, their loss," move on, and do amazing things at the school that loved you enough to accept you.

    What's wrong with this "attitude"?

@sciencenerd123 is right, she’s made her peace with it and has moved on. not a poor attitude at all.

No, your intention to move on is your biggest right. I meant as in there are so many accomplished people applying that it's hard for admissions officers to make the right decision. I'm just saying don't give up mate :) @sciencenerd123
