I am currently a bit confused whether I should apply abroad or do JEE.
I'd definitely require financial aid .
How important is an olympiad medal for applying to MIT/Harvard/Princeton/etc ? (Since I don't have one :( )
I haven't given SAT/ACT yet and was wondering if I should try applying abroad.

You sound pretty smart! So, while your achievements are great I'd suggest you keep your eyes on JEE because it's extremely hard to get substantial financial aid from any school. Take the SATs and write your essays, and give it a shot regardless but the odds aren't in favor for internationals asking for aid.
