University of Wisconsin EE Program

I would like to major in electrical engineering and have heard that UW-Madison has a good program. Is this true? If so, what makes this program so much better than other EE programs at public universities?

Wisconsin has a good EE department, and one of the top engineering programs in the country. However, its EE department is not the best among public U's. Illinois, Michigan, UCB, Purdue, Georgia Tech and a few others are better.

To get more inside scoops, I'd suggest you cross-post your question on the Wisconsin forum.

Thanks for the response. Does anybody else have any opinions to add? I have not had much luck getting responses in the Wisconsin forum.
