I got my acceptance letter today too. I'm a recruited athlete, but I didn't realize they sent early letters out for athletes (not sure what the point is when we've already committed to go there...)

you must be over the moon.

I got no mail at all today, so that was kind of disappointing. oh well, there are still lots more acceptance letters to be mailed

i didnt get any fin aid info yet--they said they'd send it soon, but when i asked ppl who got in early they say amherst takes ~2weeks. i figure they should take awhile since the deadlines to turn in the fin aid materials were around now...
where am i in the us: new jersey...
non-athlete...
is amherst my 1st choice? idk. lol i havent done the whole 'visiting colleges & sitting in on classes' thing yet.

random etiquette/courtesy question: is it a good idea to e-mail the admissions office thanking them for an ew if u got 1? this might sound a bit like a stupid question...

hmmmm it seems they've already e-mailed internationals so I guess I'm not getting one

Now i feel like i have absolutely no shot at getting in even though I know not that many people get likely letters.
