FAFSA and Drexel Grants for permanent resident

vchauhmyvchauhmy Registered User Posts: 3 New Member

I just recently became permanent resident. When I applied to Drexel I was an international student so didn't get any Grants from school. My family's income is not a lot but enough for me not to get anything from Pell Grants, even tho I tried to explain to them that we have other private stuffs to take care of, they still said Pell Grants are automatically calculated and can't be changed. Instead, they asked me to appeal for it.

Has anyone done this before? Does Drexel really give you more aids after you appeal? I'm hoping I can get more grants for my last year because I will have to study 5 quarters straight and it will be a lot for me if I don't get any more aids.

Thank you,
