ECU Admissions Decision Turnaround Time

How long can I expect to hear about a decision after application submission? Right now the portal says that they're waiting for my ACT scores which were submitted at the time of the testing. Thank you!

My son received his ACCEPT 2 weeks ago, applied on 8/25/19. Make sure you have official SAT/ACT scores sent to the school from testing centers.

My son applied on 9/10 and got his online decision 9/11. So did a friend of his. He got the packet in the mail about a week later. Then about a week ago he got a packet inviting him to apply to the honors college so if you qualify be on the look out for that.

@madcat220 you seem like you are good for ECU. Have you visited campus or met with the admissions councilor for your area? Honest interest in ECU can really help if you are a board line student.

Maybe the others that have gotten in can share their stats?

My son just applied last week, so we haven’t heard back yet.

@KM1895 You look like a strong candidate, keep us posted. But I do believe that a visit and meeting with a rep is always a good idea at your top choice schools

Congrats to your son! My daughter was also admitted. We are waiting on a decision from App which is her number 1 choice and UNC Charlotte. I believe that ECU is her 2nd choice. Time will tell.

@KM1895 , while your GPA is a little low in general, I think your ACT score will compensate for it in the ECU admissions office.

I think you have a very good chance. Good luck!

    I got Rejected...
It makes no sense, they have admitted people with lower test scores and gpa than mine. I am taking the ACT again in December, should I reapply with new test scores?

@KM1895 I am sorry to hear that. I would test again for sure, but I would also try to contact admissions and ask if they can give you some more information why.
