Sociology or Psych for Elementary Ed major?

I am an Elementary ed major deciding whether to sign up for an Intro Psych or Sociology class. I don't know which class would be more beneficial to my major. They are both at the same time & don't affect my schedule either way.

Don't many teacher education programs require some psychology courses, e.g., developmental psych, educational psych, etc.? So, wouldn't into psychology be a prerequisite for some of these courses?
