Scholarships or Grants for Early Decision applicants

I am looking for some insight into whether applying ED (or EA) can positively or negatively affect one's chances for an Elon scholarship (such as Presidential) or grant. In addition, when are you notified of receiving a scholarship? Is it when you are notified of acceptance? Any insight greatly appreciated.

Both of my kids applied ED and both were accepted with Presidential scholarship. If your stats are worthy, you will receive it. The scholarship notice comes as part of the acceptance letter. Fellows program (and accompanying scholarships) is an entirely separate application process that happens between January and April 1. ED/EA has no bearing on it. Financial aid packages are not awarded until at least April.
