Oxford College or Emory College

Hi. I got accepted into Emory and Oxford; however, I am a finalist for a full ride merit scholarship for Oxford. My intended major is business so I will only be going to either school because I want to be enrolled in Goizueta Business School. Goizueta is on the EMORY Campis though. So if I go to Oxford (for the full ride), will I still be able to major in business and enjoy the benefits of Goizueta. Also, do hiring businesses/corporations look "down" on Oxford grads or will I be viewed as an "Emory" grad. Basically I am wondering if my future opportunities in being hired for business be hindered by going to Oxford over Emory? Thank you!!

First, Goizueta is on the Druid Hills, or more colloquially Emory Main campus. Both Oxford College and the Druid Hills campus are part of Emory University.
Goizueta accepts plenty of Oxford continuees, and does not favor students who started at the Main campus over those who started at Oxford.
Also, do hiring businesses/corporations look "down" on Oxford grads or will I be viewed as an "Emory" grad.
Oxford College is one of the colleges within the broader Emory University. Therefore, when most Oxford students make a resume they put that they attend Emory University. I'm not aware of any business which recruits Emory students that refuses to look at the resumes of Oxford continuees.

The only possible disadvantage you might have as an Oxford student is that it's difficult to get to the Main campus sophomore year for things like career fairs. These could possibly hinder internship opportunities, but in all likelihood going to Oxford would not be detrimental to a future career.

My son is set to graduate from Goizueta this May. He started at Oxford with a merit scholarship. My impression from my son is that Goizueta gives equal consideration to students from Oxford and Emory College. It is a question of GPA, particularly in required courses, and extra curriculars. A financial accounting class offered at Oxford and Emory College is a prerequisite to Goizueta admission, and graded on a curve as Goizueta classes are. It was a bit of a weeding out course for those not determined to obtain Goizueta admission.

Some students do seek and obtain internships prior to commencement of their Goizueta studies. But most internships follow a student's junior and first year at Goizueta. I believe my son referenced both his Oxford/Emory attendance, and his then current attendance at Goizueta on his resume, along with his activities and honors at Oxford. He obtained an internship at a major bank for the summer after his junior year and will work for it after graduation. From his description of his interaction with Bank staff, they viewed him as an Emory student, not something less than that associated with his attendance at Oxford.
